Outside work I have many interests and hobbies...

Gymnastics: I am an ex member of the Huntingdon Gymnastics Club youth A-Squad, where we used to train three times a week alongside many elite level athletes. Although I am no longer be an active member of the club I still take a strong interest in the sport.
Gliding: During my time at secondary school, I was a member of Cambridge Gliding Club Cadet Programme that encouraged young people to begin their flying journey. I achieved my first solo flight at age 14; and one year later achieved my Bronze Award which included topics such as navigation, meteorology, theory of flight, aviation law and extensive practical flying hours.
Hardware/Electronics: In my spare time, I have assembled electronics kits developing my soldering skills that range from laser tripwires to digital clocks. I have also created Raspberry Pi projects, the most recent of which was linking it to my 3D printer to allow me to send designs to it remotely.
Gaming: In my free time, I enjoy using video games to socialise with my friends. We play anything from sandbox games like Minecraft or Factorio, to more tactical games like League of Legends or Escape From Tarkov. The more competitive games have taught me good communication and teamwork skills, while games like Factorio have taught me good problem solving and logical skills.

I spent a month developing a prototype business management tool to assist with current and future project resource management. The Client requested the application for the front end to be developed using PowerApps, which I had to learn from scratch during the project. The app linked to a temporary database in the backend to simulate real business data for demonstration purposes.

Lifeguard / Duty Manager

My responsibilities include: safety of customer swim sessions, leading a shift team, provision of general customer service including taking bookings, cash accounting and opening and closing the sports centre.

Intern/Work Experience

May 2018

NetNames, Cambridge

I had two weeks work experience placement. Developed an application to automatically transfer data from an Excel document into a MySQL database, inserting the data in the correct columns and rows. My application was subsequently integrated into a much larger system.
